Back in the 1980's, the nearby town of Logansport, Indiana put on one hell of a festival to celebrate the town's rich railroad history. Called "The Iron Horse Festival" it featured a huge, nearly week long festival that took over the down town area around the restored railway depot that is along the Wabash river and close to where the Eel River ties into the Wabash. The railway group had ex Buffalo Creek & Gauley #13, a 2-8-0 of a C&O design I am told. Renumbered No1 she ran thru the 1980's till the group fell on hard times and sold the engine to Ohio Central who still has her. Not sure where the coaches when, they were similar to the MDC/Roundhouse Harriman coaches with 2 axle trucks. There was a large model train show held on Saturday during the festival. There is one video on youtube of old video someone shot both on the train and of the train departing. They normally ran west on the Conrail to the TP&W tracks out to France Park. But a couple years they changed it up, running the steamer out further west on the TP&W to turn it and they ran south on the Conrail ex PRR main toward Kokomo, going as far south as Anoka Junction before stoping and shoving back wards to the festival loading area. I got my very first cab ride in this engine. While the old Tyco engine isnt really close, its close enough for me. She has the high headlight, just need to add the PRR style keystone number plate and custom decals. I am looking for a super clean, boxed Chattanooga right now. Hoping for mint or near mint to get one that the PT motor hasn't been abused so she will be a solid starting point. Here are some pics, hopefully, of the real L&ER No1. Mike

Still NT's, I have Aspergers.
