Just picked up this interesting little kitbash at a local antique shop. It has a can motor and an NWSL gearbox. Runs nicely, the only problem is that the pilot is too low and it hits the rails. Pondering how to fix that...

Dang, this is uber cool. Maybe just a few strokes of a file will cure the rail snag.

Whoever built this did a great job. There are no seams that I can see.

oPPS ! Well I started off in my usually way putting a car in a loco thread.
* I deleted that ! Now what will I share with everybody today !
* Today for this week a beat up Atlantic made by New one of Japan. Distributed by Aristo Craft. Sold by AHC way back when. I got it at Allentown's Merchants square malls train show a week or so ago. It has all good castings at this time. It had no tender with it, the one with it came out of my spares. It is beat up also. I am hoping to get some time to clean it up and repaint it. frank

See those patched SP's all over town, but fewer every year. Looks like the layout is progressing nicely.
Kudos on that Mantua saddle tank. Lovely old piece. I rather enjoy its manifest, as well.

I think you're a tad confused. My LOTW is a side-tank. That cab-forward T+T bash Redwoods showed is a saddle tank.

Seen in passing, on my RIP track. Athearn DD35 Southern Pacific. Runs well, and was OK with my track work. Always a compliment. These did exist. Not sure why, but they were NOT called DD35B's Hmm.
