That's not a Jouef, that's actually a Playart 0-4-0. Still, definitely a unique looking engine.

Costa Mesa Trainshow find. Got this one and a Genesis for 100 and both come with DCC.

Just added this beauty to my collection. I think Mantua did a pretty neat job of capturing the lines of the real Rayonier #111, even adding an oil bunker to the tender. Interestingly the tender is not wired in. I'll be adding a wire for additional pickup.

Redwoods, I believe the tender is unwired because the chassis and mechanism was designed to also be used for straight-up tank engines (2-6-6-2T as opposed to 2-6-6-2T+T), so manufacturing some with provision for tender pickup and some without would have been a extra cost and hassle compared to just making them all without. And tender pickup is of less consequence with the potential a 2-6-6-2 has for driver pickup (even just with traditional North American HO loco wiring).

Very interesting 4-4-0. That tender motor/universal shaft has been around a long time for this American type.
