I thought I was finished my custom painting, until I found an American GK Penn Central E60CF on Ebay. I always wanted to do a NJ Transit E60CF in Aluminum to compliment the light grey on I did earlier. Using the Krylon Metallic color I was able to complete this. I also was able to find a dummy Walthers NJ Transit E60CP. This engine I was able to motorize using a spare engine and drive train from a SD40-2. I stripped the PC E60CF and re-painted it in the correct NJ Transit format. Both engines are equipped with front and rear, directional 2mm LED lights. I used a caliper to make sure the decals were perfectly symetrical in their spacing. See the pics below of both NJ Transit engines.....

Now I am done....!!!

Pete!
Fantastic! Love it! I sold several custom American GK NJ Transit E60CP locomotives back in 2010. They were all equipped with fiber optic lighting, DCC and sound. Quite nice pieces. Not sure why I like these loco as they are big plain and square, but the large canvas their sides leave make for great paint schemes, like your NJ Transit.

Frank, believe it or not the aluminum color was directly from a Krylon spray can. I used my air brush only on the Black, Orange and the final clear coat. I am tired of doing these and it is very tedious and time consuming. As I have stated before, it is time to move on from custom painting HO trains.
