I got this engine in a lot off of ebay, it runs fine, buut can't run on track because the wheels and sideframes are gone! Anyone have some they can spare?

You would do better and spend less money with a old Athearn GP9 drive. Lionel parts are more expensive. Athearn made three drives that fit perfectly into that locomotive. A Hi-Fi drive, early geared drive, and the blue box drive.

Lionel HO engines are scarce ( as are any parts ), so if you didn't get a complete one, you'll need a second engine to repair it. Parts are just impossible to find to repair these Lionel HO's for the most part. Moving the shell to a GP-7 seems like a good idea, I will have to look for some of those too. I have a few Lionel engines missing truck parts myself. Good luck with yours.

Lovely old piece. I'd leave the paint just as she sits.
She looks like a true veteran of the HO rail. Hope you
can shoot out some pics once you have her wheeled up.

Does anyone have an incomplete one that they could send me the wheels and sideframes from? I'm trying to make all my stuff roadworthy. I don't want another parts engine.

I just pick up one like this at a local train shop and all the parts are there but the locking mechanism is broken so the truck frame just falls off with the 2 wheel sets. I don't know what manufacturer made these for Lionel but I might try to install an Athearn GP9 truck on mine.
