Is that NH black and silver. Cool. Here is my Erie R-1 . After about 6 years of sitting in its box, it finally is painted and lettered. My son did it for me. I guess he got tired of seeing it in the box too. Got the photos in a E mail today.

My LOTW is this first "generation" Virginian Alco 430. I really like the paint job on this one. It's one of my favorites.

That R1 captures the brute power.

I've never seen a Tyco Alco in Virginian. Nice find.

They made quite a lot of em. All the way up until they went out of business. The one I posted is the more uncommon example but both versions are easy to find. However it is rare to see it with handrails.
I have one like this coming soon (along with that Great Northern 430 Prototype ) but until then have this picture of someone else's.

Later 2nd Version

My LOTW is a Mantua 2-6-2 that I grabbed off of evil bay. The photo they posted did not show
the front and rear trucks and I thought I was getting a 0-6-0. Surprise!!!!

The engine number is original but the tender I had to decal. It runs nice and quiet and is a very
good pulller.
