Got this at a train show yesterday. Its a Hawthorne Village 50th Anniversary Corvette A & B unit. The engine runs great. Got it for $20.

I was camping this past weekend and went to the local town to their train show. I got this Aristocraft/Newone 2-8-2 for the ridiculous price of $30 (CDN). It ran but rather slowly. I stripped it down, dug out all the old grease, oiled and re-greased it and added Kadee couplers. It is now one sweet runner.

Well Alex good luck with your Aristo Mike. I am certain if Ken and Sean see yours they will also like what they see. You got a good one there. It has to be the heaviest HO Mikado made. The Frisco model is well detailed and as you have learned a smooth runner. Aristo also made a similar loco a 4-8-2 Mountain. It has a different tender and is a lot harder to find. I know Sean has one and maybe Ken. Me, I am 70 and still haven't found one. So may you enjoy your newly acquired treasure. frank

| Beautiful loco Alex. I wish I could find some of the earlier design Aristos down in the southern part of the province.

Found this little baby on ebay and decided to add it to my little locos stable. Nice quiet little puller after a good clean and re-tune.

Unfortunately, the bulb gave up the ghost on the third lap and I'll have to put in an led later.

Midnight Special churns up the rails at last weekend's Open House, sponsored by the El Paso Model Train Club, at the head end of a 15 car All Tyco consist.
This feat made possible by Wildecoupe refitting the Shark shell on a Model Power Shark chassis, precisely lathed to fit. The Tyco PT motor failed shortly after being run, new out of box. I rebuilt said motor, and then it threw its Bull Frog Snot tires. This WC rebuild ran all weekend without a hiccup.
Super nice Juice Jack, Top Train. Great to see that Aristo Craft off the "bad order" track and into revenue service, again, Alex. Great stuff, all.

Going small this week, I got this Lima 2-axle hustler diesel from my shop, a customer left the shop a nice free donation, much of it Tyco, but a few pieces like this, I didn't have a CB&Q diesel hustler I didn't think, but I do now. Will check it out to see how it pulls or even runs.

SCVR66 has a gorgeous F7 unit in this scheme. Seems that engines in these scheme are somewhat uncommon. I like it though.

Found this gem a couple months ago at a hobby shop. Made in 1996 by Rivarossi and still in the original shrink wrapping. The 4501 in Southern Green of course.
