Very cool action railroad movie from 1973. One of those movies of the week. Released only on television.

Around the 60 minutes mark things get interesting.

So the ski train had two engines, both equipped with dynamic brakes and independent brakes. There were the train brakes, and there were the hand brakes. Somehow, none of that worked, but the new engine, with only its independent brakes stopped it all. After all, it was 3500 hp.

Oh well, movies can still be fun with enough willing suspension of disbelief.

That is what makes these movies exciting Don. In real life there would be no suspense.

Another fantasy movie situation. Then again you never know. Earthquakes can happen anywhere at anytime.

I was thinking of the immortal words of Socrates, who said, "... I drank what?"

Runaway train was a masterpiece. I'm not sure it ever got the accolades it deserved. It is one of those
films that will absorb your attention from start to finish.

New trailer from Godzilla minus one. A little more of some train destruction.
