I notice some of the layouts shown on this forum look like they've been around for quite a long time. I think that is awesome and wish I still had my layout from 30 years ago. So, I have to ask: How old is your layout?
Post pics too!

My current layout is two years old. But next year we may move to another house here in Brockton, so I'm not sure what will become of my layout. Either I can bring it as-is (I may modify the track plan a bit), or I will have to completely dismantle it, and then build a new layout at the new house.

Started my layout in 1996. I've had the luxury of living in the same house since before then.

Mine is 13 years old...built to move (twice so far) and built to be my last. My only regret is that I did not use 4' full extension slides. the last 6" can be difficult to do switching maneuvers, but that can be rectified eventually.

Shaygetz, I like that drawer idea!. That's a neat use of space.

On the subject of the original question, my layout has been evolving in its present location, size and basic plan for about 38 years.
