Starting off this week's LOTW post, I brought home from my office a Mantua Mikado kit engine, all put together, that I left there for awhile. Got it out last night, and put it on the test track. While the wheels sparked, it ran up and down the track with no issues, and no noise either, just a slight gear noise. Will probably take it apart anyway to clean and lube it up. Paid $20 for it at a micro train show a few months ago at a local lodge. I thought I'd bought another Mantua engine with it, but it turns out it was a Varney 4-6-2 in a Mantua box. I like those too, was working on it last night, missing tender to motor wire, wheels filthy and caked. Got it running this morning. :) Anyway, here's the Mantua Mike

My locomotive of the week is a recently completed A & B set of powered Bluebox Athearn F7s. I added the Walthers grab iron kit, Athearn window kit, and Calscale radio antenna kit. The units also have upgraded DCC motors and wheels sets.

I love it!
Good job!

If I can't fix it, I can fix it so it can't be fixed.

* Hi, frank here ! Nice Pennsy F7A&B. You did a good job on this locomotive. Especially like the Train Phone system applied to the roof. I all came together nicely.
