Here are some random shots of the display in closeup.

I am glad I was able to share my hard work with some folks who would appreciate the subject matter. My friends and neighbors have no concept of how it was organized, and how hard to find something was, or why this piece is a little different from that one..... I knew this forum would get it though.
Thanks Scott

I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out. "I love your catenary!" Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?

I missed this closeup, but sorry Steel, he didn't get any closeups of the Piggbybacks. I can email you the hi-res file of the wide shot and you can zoom in pretty good on those. They wouldn't fit on the forum though.

Very nice and alot of decective work tracking down what you wanted. Do you run this stuff, or run other less important Tyco. Either way it's fine with me. Thanks

Sadly, the whole concept came up because I do not have the space to run a full layout. I had a bunch of Tyco from the mid 70's still in really nice shape (boxed etc) I found ebay maybe 11-12 years ago and gradually, instead of selling off my collection, I ended up adding significantly to it. I can enjoy my collection daily, and I really do. I am still trying to add some elusive pieces where room permits. Many of the loco's I never even tested after receiving from ebay, since I knew they just had to look good.
I do set up a couple of O Gauge tracks around the Xmas tree every year. RailKing. Santa brings a new car every year. We have some HO we put around the downstairs tree.
I actually have about 100 pieces of rolling stock (Walthers, Athearn, Roundhouse) that I assembled but never ran. They are about 13 years old, when I started buying stuff for a potential layout. Then I got on the Tyco path and will be selling off that stuff soon. I just haven't gotten around to it. I will put a detailed inventory together and list here before going to ebay.
I am very nostalgic about the Tyco, and I have always loved HO trains. I really don't get tired of just looking at it on the wall.

When I first saw that wall of TYCO it got me thinking of doing something similar. I like to run trains but I get a lot of enjoyment out of my displays. Theres nothing like a wall of solid trains IMO.
I wanted to pack this shelf up and just display red box TYCO.

I mentioned it at dinner several months ago and it started a "scale war" between me and my 17 year old son who has no interest in HO.
So I figure let him have it his way he will be going off to college next year and me and my younger son can do what we want then[:D]
