Well I say it is in excellent condition! See....

And yes it was worth it, it's a good thing that my employer (Canadian National) pays me the big bucks.
See my post about this locomotive here:

I thought someone on this site was bidding on it. When I paid $90 or $92 for mine, I was kicking myself that I spent so much for it. It was mint and I had never seen one as nice, so I kept bidding. There were people on this site that said I paid too much for it; Now, I guess $90 plus is the going rate! I also have two of the Santa Fe's, but one is missing main drive shaft, no matter, I never put them on the track, way too loud and clunky.

A locomotive is worth what you are willing to pay for it. If you are happy with it, then it is worth the price that you paid. A few months back, I paid 170 for a rare Allegeny and Eastern CF-7 Athearn RTR. I paid 70-90 for my other three Cf-7 units so yes it was over priced but I bought it anyway given that they only come up on ebay once or twice a year. I'm glad you are happy with your purchase GG1.
If you are not having fun, you are not doing it right.
