Nice double-ender! I like those. My submission is a needs-some-help Lionel F7, the power pick-up tabs have come off the truck ( welded? soldered? not sure...). Am thinking of a project using this Hi-F style truck to power a caboose or boxcar, ie Haunted Car. The truck design is perfect, uses a band drive, and the motor can be horizontal to drive it inside the car. Or I may fix it. Timonium show find yesterday.

Love that Galoob F9, Ben.
Jerry, I think you should fix up that lovely Lionel Alco too.
Speaking of Lionel, they inspired my LOTW:

That's quite the unique piece there Frank. How do those Aristocraft engines run?

If you're referring to a tender, between my homemade and the one from Frank there was no need. If you're referring to buying an eight-coupled steamer, I did buy the Clementine back in November... If you're referring to buying a pink steamer, nobody makes one in HO so nyeh :P
Frank, I love your LOTW. An outside-cylinder single, kinda like the GNR Stirling 4-2-2 (though less elegant).

Jerry, let me know what you end up using for drive bands on the Lionel FA. I've got a pair that need some. My LOTW, a Tyco Spirit of '76, mutilated into a CP steamer. It's missing a crosshead rivet. Evan

Here is my TYCO trolley with my custom built-drive mech.
Custom drive mech:
New Trolley next to the old drive mech:
Now it is SUPER smooth, quiet, and has a top speed of 35 scale MPH (instead of the original 90 Scale MPH)
If I can't fix it, I can fix it so it can't be fixed.

Actually Its a bachmann FTA truck with a smooth motor that I took out of a toy, a little glue, and some straw from a pen to make the axle connection
Chops124:
Microbusss: I plan to add DCC Sound, interior, a working antenna, and lots of details(including steps, grabirons, antenna mount, bell, numberboard, etc)
If I can't fix it, I can fix it so it can't be fixed.
