That's a gritty looking work horse you got there Kovacste. You've got quite a British collection going on there. Where do you find this stuff? I typically end up paying a premium for Brit OO, if I can find it.

This week I'm gonna have 4 locos here. I bought a junk box back in Feb for a General loco. After checking out the other locos I figured I'd go ahead and do a restore on them. Well, here they are:
As I received them.
 1. The General which has already been posted.
2. An Mantua 0-4-0 which turned out really nice.

3. An American Flyer 0-6-0 with smoke and chuffing sound. Gotta work on the smoke unit.

4. An Mantua 4-6-2 and it runs really good. Am thinking about doing this one up in B&O.

5. An Mantua 2-8-2. This one had a rod screw broken off in the geared driver. Small drill bit and no problem.

And the nice thing about these locos, they all work just fine on an 18" radius curve!

Are you sure they work that good on 18 inchers? Your tender truck is derailed on that Mike.

I had placed it there for the photo. Truck off rail is my fault. I've run all of these around the track a number of times and they work just fine.

Sure, Old Timer, it's OK, we believe you! Nice valve gear action on that AF. I didn't guess AF was in the HO market. Pretty cool.

Thank you. Well, the reason I'm able to get this stuff is because, well, I live in Washington, which is right below Canada, where I heard they apparently distribute British stuff to fairly easily. And, at swap meets at the train shows, there's a lot of sellers from Canada, so that's where the British stuff comes from.

| That OO gauge loco looks pretty fine Steve. George, that's quite a fine collection you built out of that junk box. Nice work.

My contribution this week is a nice AHM / Rivarossi GG-1 I found at a flea market I sometimes visit, the coin dealer was selling his uncle's train estate off. LOADS of trains for sale! AT $45, I couldn't pass up this deal, and it ran perfect out of the box when I tried it. I'm stoked! :)

Ive been on a Rock Island type of mood as of late. This is a proto 2K GP-18 that I installed DCC and a very bright LED on. Gonna have to get back in and dim it a little.

YAAAAAAGH! Having AMGG1envy. Sorry. Must. Refrain. That P5 did the same thing to me. Is that a Pet Rock? Very, very nice. Is that a petri dish in the background, with the cables? Almost as good as my Mt. Tub.

Wow, not bad. I got my Mehano-made H0 scale GG1 with some coaches for $40, but that's still pretty good, I have to admit, considering most of the GG1's I see are closer to $100 at least.

It seems you're jumping the gun just a bit.
Those couplers look like the one in the Lone Ranger movie a couple of years back. I wondered where they got that oddball design. It went well with the two reversing levers in the cab and the flexible connecting rod.
