In all the years of collecting NEVER saw this had to buy the whole lot at auction off site

and many items from the lot will be going up for sale

BUT Anyone? there is something "Lionel" about it

I don't think it's Lionel. They used the same toolings as Athearn for their HO stuff, and this one doesn't match the Athearn flat car toolings. The undercarriage on this is molded onto the carbody and the stake pockets and brake gear are different. On top of that, if it was Lionel it would probably have their name or logo embossed on it somewhere.
