How good are atheran 2-10-2s I saw one and the guy wants $250 for it with four cars and a loop of track is that a good price it looks like a really clean model I don't know if it run though devin "give me the ugly steam none of that streamlined stuff"

No expert, but sounds top heavy on the price. How much would you be able to sell it for? Probably not much, if you could find a buyer.

Athearn never made a 2-10-2. (Trust me!) However, Athearn did make a 2-8-2. They also made a John Deer 2-8-2. Those usually go for around $85 - 115. $250 is way over priced!!! Athearn 2-8-2s(and 4-6-2s) have an unbalanced weight. They pull poorly, around 8 freight cars max. If I can't fix it, I can fix it so it can't be fixed.
