My LOTW is a Proto 1000 RDC in Northern Pacific livery.

Something completely different for LOTW. It is an early 60s British Playcraft Trains D6100. I have absolutely no clue what I will do with it. Only paid $5 for it just because it was odd. LOTW

Oh, those things. I've never seen one of those in person, honestly. They sound rather odd.

I love that green thing. I'd offer you $ for it, but then I'd have to start a new era and I am trying to force myself to stay in period. How does it run??
That D&H is gorgeous. D&H had one of the best paint schemes on rails. I see that it is lit up. How in the world did you jam a light post in there??

That's funny, Jeff I love the D&H color scheme. I've had this one for years in it's box and it has the pack of handrails. However, I wasn't surprised when on the track the light comes on but the engine does nothing. Pretty certain I can get it going with a little effort...

The Play Craft website says it was made by Joeuf in France. Interesting little website. http://trainsdefrancois.free.fr/images/joub78.jpg

I actually have an article in a British Railways magazine that outlines the history of these units and their models. I will share it with the forum.
