My LOTW for this week is a Proto 1000 Northern Pacific RDC that actually belonged to a man by the name of Bob Beise, who was part of the Seattle Pacific and Eastern model railroad until he died a year or so ago. The guy selling the loco had gotten all that stuff from estate sales over the years and he sold me the engine for $20 and it runs great.

It took over 9 or 10 years to get another. Here's the old one I had. Old one had a horn hook coupler on one end and a Kadee on the other. frank

How about a 1960's vintage ATT (Mehano) Plymouth DDT?
I have it posed with my Bachmann On30 Porter just to show how well it works in larger scales...

I have been away from the Tyco Forum for a while so I will get caught up with several LOTWs First up is a Cary metal bodied FM H-10-44 that i recently painted but I am still undecided on lettering it for NKP or N&W.....cast your ballots
Next is this interesting little Plymouth critter done up in a Firefighter scheme
Finally is another critter. This time it is a narrow gauge HOn2 1/2 mining locomotive that is seen here on the Tincup & Telluride

Fourth or fifth time I've admire those switchers. An all switcher layout would be pretty cool. I guess Nickel Plate would be my next vote for that awesome Carey piece. Totally in love with that narrow gauge deal, I hope you post some more pics, of that as well. What kind of track plan does it cruise about on? Nice ballast work, too- looks like you put some time on getting it just so.
Heavy electric has no equal. I'd love to seem some shots seeing those bad boys hauling some freight.

The ballast on the TnT is road dust that I collected off of the shoulder of the road and then sifted it to get out the larger tire debris. I like those Cary metal bodies, they are nicely detailed and the extra weight gives them some real pulling power. Somehow metal just gives these models a sense of permanence.
