My LOTW for this week is a split-gear Mehano AHM C-Liner in H0.

My Athearn "blue box" GP40-2, after I did EXTENSIVE detailing work... Including quite a bit under the chassis, that most will never see (but I know it's there!).
Also has a Mashima can motor and TCS KAT-22 decoder, with Keep-Alive. And, that is my Freelance Railroad.
BTW, IMHO, a Keep-Alive decoder may just be the BEST investment that you can make! I've run it over as much as 10 INCHES of DEAD TRACK, without even slowing down... I've even run her on my friend's Layout, with ALL brass track, without so much as a flicker of the headlights!!!

Another new BNSF Warbonnet locomotive of sorts:
It's another Walthers Trainline Dash 8-40BW, but it has the "Santa Fe" markings on the sides, small BNSF patches under the road numbers and the orange BNSF AC unit, LED headlights (no headlight on the rear yet), even a DCC decoder already installed! A real steal if you ask me :)
Here it is already pulling TYCO rolling stock on my layout (except for the Walthers caboose, of course.)

Really nice photos, above. My contribution is an Athearn Geep ripping up the 1.5% grade with a small string of tankers.

Actually that's Pre-war Lionel O in the background - a 257T tender (the 261 loco is off camera). The boxcar was scratch-built by somebody years ago from a 5 gallon Atlantic-brand lubricant can (the litho is intact on the inside of the car).

Well Jim, looks like whoever scratch built that car did a pretty fair job. I'd like to see more photos of that . . . even while it's not HO.

Barry,
Here y'a go:
It rides on pre-war trucks with a pre-war "automatic/box" coupler on one end and a post-war knuckle on the other - so I use it when I want to drag pre- with a post- loco and vice-versa. Note the hand lettering - it's almost a piece of folk art! Based on my examination of the interior (by looking in the doors), I'm pretty sure it started life looking like this:

That's a pretty fine piece of work Jim. Yeah, if money was no object, I'd be playin' with standard gauge.

* Ken these Tenshodo Mohawk,s were great looking locomotives. The Mohawk's, Hudson's, and Niagara's of the New York Central, here in the east, were a common sight. With the models in Ho being made for a long time right from the very beginning of custom made brass engines. International, Tenshodo, KTM, Samhongsa continuing to produce them till they were common on lots of layouts. Their quality is proven through many years of use. You got a great looking member of that family of locomotives. frank
