Great stuff. That IGA loco is the toast. My contribution is this old Mantua Geep working her little electric heart out at our club's show at the Cielo Vista Mall in El Paso, Texas. The shot reminds me of a railfan trip to the Northeast Corridor in 1975.
A head on view:

I saw that coming.Sadly, I can't find a way to dismount the buffers anyway so yeah.

Ben I have a pair of buffers. You are welcome to them. I have no idea what they're from. Note that they are oval, not round. Regarding the couplers, do you have any Tri-ang ? These may be usable. Not sure. I may be able to dig up a pair of those, as well. Evan

Wow, Mike, first locomotive with the color purple I've seen! Like it a lot!
If I can't fix it, I can fix it so it can't be fixed.

I've found some local hobby shops here in the US are a good source for Tri-ang couplers - they're packaged as Bachmann "Thomas the Tank Engine" parts.

Oh yeah, those things. I have some Hornby, Bachmann Branchline, Dapol, and Airfix to confirm that they are all compatible with the Thomas stuff. They actually work pretty good with them, typically.

This is so funny. Ben, guess what came across my workbench today.
Yes, an Airfix 4F Fowler! I can say that the couplers are the same as Tri-ang. They appear to clip on, but a little trimming and a hole tapped, and I'm sure you could mount them just fine.
Also, I compared buffers, and the ones I have would not look out of place. Still interested? Evan
