Hustlin' this guy online before I head to the train shop job, got this little feller from Ebay a few weeks ago. Usually these Euro hustlers go high, I didn't have to overpay to get one finally! I haven't tried it out yet, though.

Awesome! The GP-40X has always been one of my all time favorites. I have been lucky enough to catch some in action in the field on the UP. It looks especially nice in the Athearn color scheme.

Thats actually one reason why I like it; the color scheme. I also quite like the detail put onto this lovely model. Really helps make it shine.

* This sure looks like the old original all metal Mantua Mikado. That booster trailing truck is a mantua part and came with the first kits like this. Latter kits of the all metal Mike came with the pacific trailing truck. I guess a cost saver. The use of a same part on two different locos. You have a older model of the oldest Mikado mantua made.

A Bachmann F unit toils up the grade hauling a load of gooey Sara Lee pastry, which
nobody doesn't like, up the grade at the El Paso Model Train Club, a few weeks ago.
