Ha ha! I have a couple, but they're MINE, all MINE...go find some somewhere else! For some reason, they are valued highly by some collectors. Even at local shows, I see $60 prices put on them. You will have to get lucky to find them cheap. May the cash be with you....

I'd like to find one too. But I'm just as likely to find this:

Found an SP dummy K-M for $5 a while back, and I'd be more than happy to offer you it had a friend of mine not claimed it two days ago

I am actually looking for a dummy or a "needs work" one - I'd like to do some kind of repower with an Athearn chassis kitbash.
Was actively searching one out maybe a year or so ago, but I can't justify the prices asked. Or should I say what they sell for, because they are always bid out the roof no matter what the asking price.
I think there are certain locos that somehow acquire a collector cachet, and once that happens the "collectors" will bid on it regardless of need.

I keep hoping one of the current manufacturers will put this out. Walthers did that with the GP20 in their lower tier of locomotives. If only more road names, or UP had used them then there may have been a broader appeal.
I have had one to many of the AMH coffee grinders. I would want the shell and place an Athearn BB drive train under it.

I'd be overjoyed to find a shell. They are available, but again I haven't got the balls yet to pay those prices.
