Did your son build the model, or did he work in the shops (possibly a real stupid question)?

My son Stephen built it. He has a very good layout at home which he is building. I have from time to time posted photos of his layout. He volunteers his time at Steamtown doing inspections and repair of equipment there. Mainly equipment there owned by the CNJ historical society and the Tri-State Historical society. The main locomotives are the DL&W painted F3 a-b-a # A663, A664, and B664. Also the Alco RS3 #1554 and a FA that is being restored. Steamtown uses the F3's for the short and long runs. The Rs3 is leased to the Delaware and Lackawanna, who also has a agreement for helping rebuild the FA. They will use it during the week and Steamtown excursions will be run using it on the weekends. * Here is the caboose before it was painted. frank

That model is quite fine. How did your son get interested in railroading? Did you work for the railroad Frank?

Awesome... If you cut the train table out of the pic, it would look like a real caboose on a siding in NJ....

That is some really fine finish work on that caboose. It's nice to see that MR is still a family hobby as well. Tell your son to keep up the good work.
