My building of the week is a mostly finished enlarged Sam's car lot.... Sam has been into some 70s sports cars lately. I have the two lighted poles working in this pic... Since photo I have added the light over the door and the "No money down" banner...

Nicely done, Walt! I have that finished kit also, with 1940's cars. I will probably put some AMCs on the lot, though. Like the lighting detail.
My building(s) contribution comes courtesy of the LHS's trash dept. I was leaving Tuesday night last week, and saw some O gauge track sticking up out of a trash can, digging further, I found these buildings and a couple Marx O gauge cars. Plus some AHM electric poles in a box . I love trash diving! I scarfed all the track, some rusted from the recent rain, should clean up OK. I can always use it for display purposes. Anyway, these buildings have no markings on them, approximate S / O gauge. I can probably use them on my G outdoor railroad as well. Free is good! My boss gets so much stuff in, he just throws the broken and unwanted stuff away. So I benefit occasionally.

Walt - Sam's is looking good and some fine classic muscle on display. Jerry - Nothing wrong with free plasticville. Put them a distance from the track and they should work fine visually. This week I have a project I first did as a kid and always wanted to reprise. Two Plasticville motel kits stacked. I raised up the lower roof to make it flat, used one of the offices as a pool house. Added a second hand house by Pola as the new office and a PV Frosty Bar etc, etc. I need a vintage sign but that will come later.

| Gary, I really like the way you see things and execute them. So many motels along those old highways like this.

That actually looks like a motel I've seen before. I can't really remember which, though.

Thank You, Jerry...
Have a little more detail to add to Sam's.
Nice trash can buildings , Jerry!
Love the stacked motels Gary. Have another photo saved where someone had done the same. Great idea!

Walt, I've been following your Sam's kitbash; nice job on the parking lot splice, it's all looking really good!
Jerry, nice score on the freebies! The way I see it, if you don't need the free buildings as they are, it's free kitbashing fodder!
Gary, love the vintage motel; my wife and I would so stay there!

| Thank You, Glenn... all built with Sam's parts minus the two lighted poles... I put the 4 cars that come in the kit on ebay and they have 5 days to go... They have all the parts to complete the 4 old cars.

Gary, that motel reminds me of the 60's motels they still have in Wildwood NJ. Check it out on Google sometime and you'll see what I mean. Great job.

Yeah microbuss that walkway ended up a little tilted. Oh well, my stuff never comes out perfect. Jerry - I Googled Wildwood- what a bunch of classic old motels! Very cool in a strangely mid-century sort of way. I see bits and pieces of mine in several of them.

I'm in complete awe of this dumpster find. I actually love Plasticville just the way it is. I like the old school "toy" look for my Lionel layouts. The bird bath and trellis are especially nice...I've never seen them or the log cabin.

Nice BOTWs so far, guys. Mine is kind of an attic find. They came from one of my relatives, who had it along with a ton of other H0 scale stuff, in an attic place for about 25 years. It came in a kit and now it's completely finished. The building is a Life-Like Southern Oil Company structure from the 1980's. It's actually quite detailed for it's size.
