Tyco's Truck Terminal Kit. Need to add the small detail to this most recent purchase. The last building I will buy for the layout...

You're right, Glenn... But I have more buildings than I have room for without crowding them somewhere. I have 9 homes that I need to fit in one or more of the areas on the layout...

Well, you could put one house on top of the other and make them into 2 story homes...

Truck Terminal is looking good Walt. Nice collection of rigs. My BOTW is an old Life-like business center I picked up with a bunch of stuff. It's front wall was unusable so I remodeled with some sheet plastic and printed and cut out signs. 'Ace is the place with the helpful hardware man'

Thank You, Gary & Barry for the comments. George, I could glue the homes side to side and make a double wide. . The ACE store is a nice fix for the business center kit...

In my home town, we had a similar story but with a happier ending. Ace was conveniently located right in town. Then, they moved to a bigger store on the edge of town. Shortly after that, they changed from an Ace to a "Do It Best" and failed in that location. Now, they're back in their original location and are Ace Hardware, again.

I ordered something today from "Model Train Stuff". From Woodland Scenics . A very old fashion Pavilion for sheltering a band and people dancing and enjoying the music. Shelters like this were very common way back when (civil war era to 1940) .

Glenn was correct! I bought a second Sam's used cars kit on ebay last night! Needed it for parts mainly, but have an idea to enlarge the parking area too...

For what it's worth....speaking as a guy who frequents home improvement stores, I really want to like ACE. It's got a more classic hardware store layout and mostly good items. However, I can only deal with so many "helpful hardware men" while I'm just browsing. They always seem offended when I politely say I don't need any help. Usually I've already found what I wanted and just want to chill out and drool over tools for a while. They're also higher priced than the bigger stores. I don't mind paying more for quality, but often you're paying more for the same thing...unless we're talking about Menards, in which case I've never seen so much junk in my life. Just my two cents.
