OK, so last week two of us started the thread and this week no one yet. Well then I will. This week I present a very special building. It's a coal mine built from scratch. No, I didn't build it. It came from a sale were a family was selling off their father's model railroad. I couldn't believe they only wanted $5 for it. My best buy ever. I did ask the son his father's name. So in his honor I named it Al Katz Coal Mine Number 2.

Been messin' with ole Sam trying to get his car sales up and running. Done mortar on the walls and will add paint here and there. Going to use 2 working Tyco light poles instead of the poles that come in the kit...

That will be a nice addition. I'll be interested to see that lot lit up at night and see what Sam has for sale. I like those Hobby Lobby acrylic paints as well.

Thanks, Barry... You can also buy those acrylic paints at Walmart at a reasonable price !
Microben, I have many of the Life-Like pole lights also, but the base of them are really too large for the parking lot...
I have found that I might not have the roof detail from this kit. I may buy another Sam's kit for parts, and maybe enlarge the lot base for more room...

Peter, Topgun- Al had some cool stuff, I wonder too what it looked like all together. Naming the mine for him was the least I could do. Walt, Sam's is looking good. (Honest)
