Can anyone give a little history on this American Flyer wind up?
Date of manufacture, did it mimic a prototype, etc? This piece
went twice around the O layout at the El Paso Model Train Club
on a full wind. Piece owned by Henry Vasquez, whom we refer
to as "Tin Plate Henry."

Wow, that's definitely unique. I would say 1920's right off the bat for this thing.

M2, Champion, circa 1914. Probably a 120 tender, altho photos really make it hard to determine exactly.

They used the same loco casting for a long time...but the red stripe under the cab windows sort of dates it.
