Unlike political tranparency, which is often in the eye of the beholder, THIS LOTW post is TRULY transparent, probably one of the more transparent posts ever! My contribution is my on-going project to create a powered haunted car/tender. This unit got a test a few weeks ago, and the previous month as well. Other than needing to add the original weights back, it ran well on the club layout, had a hard time going through switches, but I suspect once the weight is added back to it, it will be fine. Fun to watch, and it entertained a number of my fellow club members as well. Hope to post this again in the future as various strains of haunted railroad equipment, lumbering down the track on it's own.

Very interesting project, actually.I like Microbusss's idea, though.Anyway, my LOTW is a Botchmann UP GP unit from the 1980's.

This week I've got a AHM/IHM/Rivarossi 2-4-0 York and Peach Bottom locomotive, circa 1978+. Got this in a batch of 3 2-4-0s for $40.00. Needs some work, but for the price, a steal.

They made the 2-4-0 in two other road names as well. One had a green color in the livery.

It came that way, actually. It was in a dirty area for like 25 years.

I think having JNXT hauling 50 of Kovacste's Wiener cars would be a pretty good match, too. Did this Geep come out of the same hole in the ground as the Wiener Car?

A Bachmann version of the Southern Railways (Great Britain) N90. A lovely model with a powerful and smooth motor, it is seen here testing the waters on the new British layout I am working on. Alas, the wheel base is a trifle too long, particularly with regard to the rear drivers, which are prototypically offset. Ironically, it runs so much better on American track, and binds on the tighter constrictions of British designed turnouts. So off to Ebay she goes, at a steal of a price.

Thanks, take a gander at it over in Layouts and Construction. No reasonable offer refused on the above. Beautiful locomotive in everyway, except she hates Hornby turnouts and curves. Does great on American stuff.

Hey, everyone. I'm back after what, a year? I been away from here for WAY too long. It's amazing what life can do... how involved you can get in it.... I've started an internship at a local garage and have been having a blast at the model RR club I go to. On topic: here's my LOTW: It's yet another HO scale Proto 2000 EMD E8 and it's in Illinios Central paint. She runs as beautiful as she looks. I bought her from a guy at the train show that the club I'm in puts on. If there's anyone else out there from New Hampshire, the club is Connecticut Valley Model Railroad club. We meet every Wednesday night from 7-9 PM at the Rivermill complex in Lebanon, New Hampshire. The train show we put on is at the Kearsarge middle school in Sutton, NH and it's every April. Also, I was thinkin', this forum could use an off topic section with sub topics in that, like music, vehicles, and what not.
I'm home schooled, I love to work on cars and anything with an engine and wheels, I love model RR'ing, and listening to Dire Straits.

Cool. Speaking of sound decoders, my Erie E8 now has a Loksound V3.5 decoder in it I got for free from the club, but it's not very loud, but it still sounds good. I'm planning on putting a TCS WOWsound decoder in it when I get the money. Also, speaking of money, I payed 50 bucks for my Illinois Central E unit.

Welcome back CV, former denizen of Spofford, next to Keene, NH. Think you gave me a few pointers at the time how to downsize pixelization to get posted on the TF. Say more about your train club: is it modules? Permanent display? Would love to see more New England equipment- post photos!

We have 3 layouts. Our main one is a modular HO scale layout and it's around 28x36 feet. Our other layouts are a modular N scale layout modeled after Crawford Notch, in New Hampshire, and a work in progress 3x6 foot N scale layout. Our HO layout is ever expanding. It's got modules on it modeled after Springfield New Hampshire, and New Hampshire. The time range for these modules is around the mid 60's. There's much more planned for your HO layout. I'll keep y'all posted on it. Heck, I might start a thread about it.
