I was wondering how well the NWSL transfer gear box works? I'm looking at the 3.125:1 or something with a low ratio. I want something to help lower my 12:1 gear ratio.

NWSL transfer gearboxes work great! A little whiny, but smooth running. I have one powering my Keystone Shay (came with the powering kit), and one powering my Athearn Hustler with Flea gearboxes and a coreless motor. They take a bit of tuning, but once you've got them running smooth, they're almost maintenance free.
Darth Santa Fe, doing weird and challenging projects for the fun of it!
