Received an interesting box of oldies from my Dad yesterday. Will be posting pics and would like some help, hello VintageHO?, on identifying this items.

First up is a pair of 4-4-2 steam engines. Both are metal die-cast, including tenders.



This one with what appears to be an oil tender, does maybe have a circle origin mark up inside the hollow tender that might read "MDC" which would be Model Die Casting or Roundhouse...but again I'm not certain that it was it says...

The first is a Pennline and the second is an early MDC.

Thanks again for the info on these models. I took Sunday off from work as a vacation day and got to looking over those old steam engines. With a little effort, I got the Roundhouse 4-4-2 up and running pretty well.
