Hey All,

I bought a Life Like Conrail train set today.
I would like to know when it was made.
It has,
Conrail F7 powered loco,Blue/White Lettering
Union Pacific 2 bay hopper,Yellow/Red lettering,coal load
Toys R Us reefer,White/Black paint,multicolored lettering.
Conrail center cupola caboose,Blue/White lettering
It only had the styrofoam bottom, missing the box top.
Any help is appretiated.

That was from that table on the front corner of the main building, right?

I got that same set (or similar) when I was kid, in the late 80's. It was a surprise from my dad, it came with that bit foam folded-loop layout that LifeLike was (in)famous (?) for (the one pictured on the back of many of their boxes). Except mine came with an additional Swift reefer, and the Toys R' Us car was the 40' box. But the rest of it - UP hopper, Conrail F9& Caboose - was the same.

Yep that's the one,

Got it for $10.00 down from $15.00
Really dusty and dirty, took it home cleaned & lubed it
put it on the track and it runs perfectly.
My wife pointed it out to me, I mainly bought it for the toys R us reefer.
This car was included in my first train set.
