B & O Gondola w Culvert pipe.
No number on box, bottom of car says "Made by Tyco in USA".
I have this car but cannot find a number there is no info on the box which leads me to believe that it was probably part of a set.
Any suggestions?

Bob

I have seen that car NIB with a number that escapes me. It IS a legit item, albeit somewhat scarce. However, I think it actually came with a gray gravel load - the only gon I'm aware of that did. So, like the covered Burlington gon, it's sort of a unique oddball.

Well if we can come up with a number i can add it to my inventory sheet.
Tony might be able to add it to his Tyco resource site. As far as I know the pic is the way it came with the pipes and I never used it.
Thanks.

Oh yeah.... it IS on the site (a thumbnail, at least):

#338 - Gravel Gondola Car.

I actually have this B&O gondola myself, in the earlier Mantua incarnation. No gravel (or pipes for that matter, I got it loose from a relative).

Dunno. It may have been originally a gravel gondola and someone changed it. Anything is possible. I just know it's the way I bought it. Fits in the box with the insert just like the others. Interesting.
