On a Varney Docksider 0-4-0T, what size screw goes in the front set of drivers? Also, will anything extra be needed as it has the Central Valley valve gear kit.

I know it's a 0-80 but what length?

| Couldn't you stick a tooth pick into the hole, mark it and then measure it to get the depth of the hole?

On my Varney Little Joe, I have a slotted 0-80 screw that is 1/8" (.125") long with a 1/16" (.0625") shoulder. I am quite sure that an ordinary Mantua rod screw would work very well and would look better. I bet Dan at Yardbrid trains has a whole Mantua set you can use on the Docksider. Regards, Vic B.
