That 2-4-2T looks like a pretty neat little engine. It'd be fun to tinker and test and see how well it runs and holds the track.
Have you had a chance to run it?

** Well Ken you have become a worldly man. Not only do you have trains of 3 gauges but know what their track looks like. I don't. Webley has been E-mailing me about the PGW site. Of course with the latest site info, and also help when using the site for sales. So I went to the site. I tried to edit and addition to the last text. I couldn't make it accept the addition so I left the site, and my text which took me some time to form, got lost. Well maybe someday I'll try again. * I was checking out all the post on this thread and found out I haven't added anything on the last 2 pages. I got a lot of brass so I guess I post a few again. I'll keep it to steam. * This weekend is a good train show out in Allentown PA, at the fair grounds. The" First Frost Train Show". I'm going on Saturday. If you go Sunday you miss what got sold on Saturday. Well maybe I'll find that clean 500 dollar brass loco for 50 dollars. I know Fat chance! It takes an hour just to walk through all the aisles just glancing to what is there. I'll just be looking for what I don't have in Marx and Gilbert. If I go one way , when I get to the last isle all the interesting stuff is there. If I start and go the other way, the same thing happens. That is way I am the worst poker player in the world. * Well C U latter. Frank *

Here is a locomotive I have posted in the past. It is one of the first brass engines I had gotten. Sold by the HO Train Co. HOTCO. A 1950 locomotive most likely made by Akane for it is in their catalog also. It still runs great. It is a rare bird in that it was built to represent a locomotive that has been run for years and repairs made to it. The sanding pipes which were originally installed inside the body sheeting when they went bad were just replaced by abandoning the bad ones and replacing the piping on top of the sheeting. I also got one of the second release of this loco type by HOTCO where the loco looks new.
The PRR J1sa.

I think someday I want a 2-8-0 loco with a Vanderbuilt Tender on it I want to replicate the UP loco #423 which is on display in Gering, NE oh there is LOTS of them 2-8-0s around here on display
My understanding was #423 was assigned in the yards at Gering, it was sent to scrap yard in the 1950s I think & the city campaigned to get it back & put on display

Hi Justin. A copy of the PM I sent you to tell you what happened.
It seems that you did 22 posts in a row in the thread Brass locomotives. Not one of your photos posted. That is a lot of nothing in a row. I would say your choice of location to post your photos is a bad one. I use Flickr because they give you a gig of space. I will post this to the thread " Brass Locomotives". I don't want to do something that isn't out in the open. * Once you correct the missing photo thing I edit this and remove the text add another photo to brass locomotives. frank
Justin In the 22 posts there are 26 photos missing.

Westside Model Co Union Pacific 4-10-2. Not my photo. UP tried these outand ran them on The Overland Route hence the name Overland. Originally 8800-8808. Later on, due to maintenance headaches, the middle or third cylinder was removed, converted to oil and renumberes the FTT class. Oddly, the third cylinder was impressive and they order the 9000 class 4-12-2 with them. Efficient and allowed high speeds.

One of the last brass engines I acquired is a Tenshodo New York Central Mohawk 4-8-2. I have not had the time to get it running yet. I have a 6 car set of Bachmann Spectrum passengers to put behind it. It should look pretty good when it gets to rolling around my Layout. frank
