My SOTW this week is two DCC sound BLI(?) Illinois Central A and B units with about 7 or 8 more coaches in the same livery. All of which I got for $60 at the recent train show.

I corrected your post Stephen
Dang that is the deal of the century. I know Micro-B's Aerotrain was a home run, but for me this is right up there too. Beautiful!

Thanks, JNXT. Yeah, when I saw it had sound, I knew I had to have it. Especially since the seller said he never ran it ever.

Not only that, but just looking at the cars alone - you might find them at lower prices at a train show, IF you could find them all (doubtful), but building that set off ebay I would figure on average about $25 a car....or at least that. Not to mention that beautiful A/B set. I'm still shaking my head in amazement

It's as good as it seems, JNXT. It's pretty dang cool. I'm still getting over it, too.

Hi All,
That is one sweet set you have there kovacste000! Great price too!
My SOTW is one that had been incomplete for a very long time. But now, Thanks to Microbusss I have the missing caboose. When I received The caboose, I was surprised at how heavy it is and how free wheeling it is. If you need to check for low spots on a layout, this will do it.
Thanks again Microbusss!

While nowhere near the deal that Stephen got, my contribution is a recently acquired Athearn Milwaukee Road passenger set.

Throwing in Thursday's LHS finds, an incomplete ACL Mantua set, and a RG Obs car, so I have the ACL to Rio set. Hope to get that Obs car for ACL one day!

That purple on the ACL reminds me of the Baltic Avenue row on the Monopoly board. Very sweet consist. I want first refusal if you ever want to let loose of it.
