One of the many brass locos I serviced for The Railhead over the last few years. A PFM Northern. This baffled both David and myself. We both swore we'd seen this one somewhere with the road number embossed on the cab. Then while handling it, one number fell off. It was plastic labelling tape! D'oh!

Canadian, pacific type locomotives are seen on ready tracks between the 2 roundhouse segments. #2335 is a old Triang loco while the other, 1542 is a Hornby loco made after the 2 companies merged into Hornby-Triang. frank

Huh. Very interesting pieces so far, guys. My LOTW for this week is a Bachmann H0 scale Thomas The Tank Engine range Mavis that my little brother got for Christmas last year.

My loco this week is delicious! Found it at the train show on Friday, came back Saturday morning to get it. Still there. I have a candy consist, wasn't sure if I had this engine or not, so I brought it home. Like I need another Whatchamacallit (engine), don't Snickers now! Yep. I've actually found them online. So basically, Bachmann betrayed their other brand.

AMC nice lil' switcher. I live about 15 minutes from Hershey ... I wonder if they ever had any rail equipment ... I'll have to look into that.

I have always wanted a model of the C-415 and I have been holding out for a nice one. Finally had a chance to get one brand new in the box, never been run! This one is an ATT model in Santa Fe colors.

Ken, that looks incredible. Looks pretty much like a brand new DCC fitted model, no one would be able to tell what it once was without looking around the entire thing.

I'm pretty sure that's the original Mehano drive. It's the 8 wheel drive version, which would be from IHC.

Then N de M 123 (formerly RG&W) became Boston and Maine 1184. This unit was once DCC at one point. I get bored of one thing, then whip out the paint brush and whatever decals I have lying about.

26 to be exact. For the Rock Island, SP, and SP&S (to BN), plus one each to three shortlines. The Monn Conn unit is preserved right here in the RR Museum of PA Mostly the problem was that they were glorified switchers being marketed in the late 60's when most roads already had plenty of first-generation switchers on hand, causing a big drop in the market for new switchers of any kind. Personally, I think there's just never been much market for centercab diesels in North America.

Chops, I love the look of your layout in this pic and the other. Plasticville is one of my loves. If all goes as planned, I'm going to build a combined O/HO layout next fall and I hope it turns out as fun as yours looks.

Actually, Tyco cataloged this model from 1975 to 1978. Sorry, I'm kind of a nerd about that sort of stuff. Still, I love these things.

[okay]So that's how you know that. Well, at least you now know how long they were made by Tyco. Seriously though, I like those types of things because for one thing, it reveals how old the loco is, and second of all, it helps uncover a bit of it's history and stuff which I find quite cool.
