My contribution for this week's COTW is an N scale Schlitz billboard car made by Microtrains and because of the neat advertisement on the sides, it's gotta be one of my favorite N scale cars I have.

Bought this at a thrift shop yesterday...

I don't plan to run it on my layout, as it's really long (even longer than an Amtrak car) and overhangs on the 18" radius curves. But it's such a cool display piece!

That looks so realistic. It's gorgeous. Who made it?

I'm pretty sure it is. I have an old Roundhouse box with a picture of that caboose on it and it matches the picture dead on.

Latest project in the paint shop, 3 Tyco operating hoppers that will be transformed into Pacific electric, that were formerly Southern Pacific.

These cars in Oregon was my inspiration (yes I know I reversed the colors)
just me Ray... and just because I have Tyco doesn't mean I am not a model railroader

My latest acquisition to complete my Hooterville Express. The boxes aren't much to look at, but the cars are in pretty good shape. Now, if I could just get figurines of the girls................

It always bugged me how those Roundhouse cabooses came with coil-spring roller-bearing trucks. They're NOT easy to find, but if you ever feel like swapping these trucks, the old Silver Streak bettendorf trucks with real copper leaf springs look particularly gorgeous (and correct) under these cabooses. My 2 still have the plastic trucks cause I can't come up with enough Silver Streaks, but you out of everyone probably have some.
Okay, I confess to rivet-counter-ing about trucks. But just trucks. I'm innocent, I swear!

The tricky part will be modeling, in full animation, the dog that runs behind the train.

Thanks guys! Not sure of the maker. It is plastic and custom painted and decaled. I have a diecast New Haven in factory MDC/Roundhouse paint that looks very similar, but I picked it up with a bunch of New Haven stuff sometime this past summer. The ~2'x2.5'x1.5' box was delivered. I tucked it into the garage without opening it until now. It was like opening a time capsule! LOL

My COTW is a plain and simple Tyco refer in Ralston Purina with Manufacturers Railway markings. M.R.S. is a hometown railroad so I like to pick them up when I can.

I wasn't sure if there were one or two cars in the set. I have the passenger car #93 I picked up a few months ago at an antique show, but missing the combine car ( and engine ).
There's a european vendor who makes nudist people, you could probably easily get the girls au naturelle from them to do the water tower dio.
