It is the word train spelled by an old man with fat fingers and poor eyesight. Glad you guys found that before MicroBusss did. Regards, JohnEdited by - JRG1951 on December 31 2014 10:17:09 AM

One of the problems with what they were doing was they were trying to derail on a straight section of track. I'll bet if you cut out even just 12 inches on the OUTSIDE of a curve, a train would probably derail due to the centrifugal force pushing the train out into the outer rail. And Germany is not a flat country, unlike the USA, I'd think they have way more curvers to their trackage than the USA does. A fascinating video, trying to deliberately derail a train under controlled conditions is kinda like ancient Myth Busters. Thanks for sharing that vid.

* No Jerry it is just a slip of the finger when typing the post. It is Train not Trian. Happy new years eve. And if it wasn't for edit I would have had to leave because of how embarrassed I would be. Now I can read a post 6 month old and even older and change mistakes, change or add a photo, or add a line or paragraph to the post. Compared to other places, its gooooood here. frank toptrain

I first posted this video in November 2008 from the original source! Then edited the Tyco Forum thread re-addressed in 2012. Search "derail" for those... there are other military videos from the site once it finally opens for you.
Here it is when you want to watch it here without leaving this thread:
Note the "TUBE" button above the Earth Button next to the "HR" button. This will allow such an operation.
John I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out. "I love your catenary!" Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?
