Okay, then.My AOTW is something that I've seen at my grandparent's house for years. After years of wondering what the heck it came from, I just found out recently that it came from the Converters lineup. Thanks, Microbusss for correcting me.

Is that a Matchbox Voyager? Because if not then they got the tooling for the Voyager body from them.

Cool item!

Hooray for obscure robots!
These toys were originally created by Mark Toys, some for their own Robo Car line in Japan.
More information here for your reading enjoyment. :)....

I have the City Turbo from the first line, and I think the black Firebird from the later line which was all American cars.

I read your comment

The Converter Voyager body is an exact copy of the Matchbox Voyager. Hence my comment

Gee, no wonders I don't see these often, they're literally just Japanese Transformers knockoffs from the 70's. In that case, I've got to get it from m grandparents.

Ahhh I see!

Still, it is interesting that the tooling looks so close to the Matchbox version, even at a different scale.

I finally managed to find a functioning one of these truck loaders from Tyco for $5.00. I had one when I was a kid and cut it up for some half-baked project and now I regret that decision. Its great to have one back.

Those castings are pretty fine Sean; like the bathroom fixtures you got. Doesn't seem like they'd hardly need to have any flash removed. That's good that HO scale guy can now get up out of bed during the night to use the bathroom . . . particularly as he ages.
