Good morning Sean. Today I post my just refinished Gilbert reefer #2. It is a old 1939 kit Gilbert called HO#2. I did it with different trucks and couplers. I also used a set of Clover House Swift's Bacon rub on lettering. frank

My cars this week are the last of a lot I bought @.75 each. The first car is an Athearn, the second a Life Like and the third has no markings but has screw in trucks.

My COTW is an AHM C&O heavyweight duplex sleeper. I added kadees and metal wheels.

Roundhouse. The later version with the stirrups molded into the frame, instead of into the shell like the first generation of this car (otherwise identical) that had a cast frame over an Athearn car floor. I've always thought these rib-side 40' boxcars are just so cool Love it!

My two bits for the week. Found the passenger and combine cars for my Sampson, corrugated, streamlined set.
passenger car.

combination car.

add these two new ones to the ones I got earlier, and tada, new construct(after I restore the sleeper, diner and observation cars.

Of course, to be pulled by a Hobbytown EMC E-7 A & B units(both powered by a DC91 motor). Hopefully it will be a nice set when I'm done. All manufactured in the 1950s.

Late again this week! An old Athearn 50's metal & wood car. Not one truck spring was harmed during assembly. Evan

Bonus points for having the strangest mixed-up trucks I'ver ever seen: one Andrews and one Hyatt roller bearing, both sprung, and white metal to boot! Who made those?
And the car sitting atop them isn't half bad either I have 2 of the Sentinel version of the Athearn metal box, but no Time-saver yet. Lucky...

Doh! I never noticed the unmatched trucks. Got the car minus trucks, and replacements were in a bag together. Fine, I'll fix 'em!

Couple of vintage Amfleet coaches, hauled by recently dual motored GG1. Speaking of re-purposing, the coaches sport a single blue band instead of red, white and blue. Makes me wonder if Tyco was re-purposing some B&0 stock-in-hand.

That reindeer stock car is pretty cool. I'm gettin' this vision of a scene with a stock pen full of reindeer and a loading operation with a bunch of those elves rustlin' things around.

Ah, this is what I want to do ,well, DCC my Amtrak GG1 ( Tyco ). I traded my good Amtrak one to Microbusss, I'll probably take my other AMtrak shell and put it on the PRR version he traded me. No one in my club runs a GG-1, so I figured I should be the first to do so. I've got the Amtrak passenger cars already, so it's just a matter of starting the project. I need to FINISH my TYco Auto loader project first, though. well, that may still take awhile, so maybe I"ll try to squeeze in this one, DCC'ing it shouldn't take as long as the AMC fleet project.
