I recently won this beauty on ebay, a Mantua aluminum Santa Fe room car - still sealed in factory air.
Not usually one to care all that much about sealed boxes, but so far have been putting off taking it out

That is a pretty sweet looking passenger car, I have to admit. And apparently it's supposed to light up too.

Is that a vintage or "modern" Mantua car? I know the originals sell for good money on Ebay. Either way, it's a nice one!

It's obviously the 1980's era Mantua. They used the orange packaging from 1978-1985. In 1986 they changed to a blue packaging. Here's a link to where I learned all of that. http://ho-scaletrains.net/id33.html

Stephen is correct, it's a "modern" Mantua car, and yes dual lighted. I really love the look of the aluminum shell, nothing says metal like real metal.

As I have stated before.... Those are some of the best passenger cars ever made for HO.
