Here are a couple of photos of my Mantua switch engines posed in the engine servicing area. This is an aerial photo of the fleet shot from the Tyco Blimp during the Cutworm Insecticide Festival:

This is an older shot posed back in the days before colors were invented:

In those days kids walked to school ... 3 miles ... uphill ... both ways.

Very cool sir. By the way, is that an old Revell engine house?

I don't remember the brand. I think it was not Revell, but tooling for model railroad buildings really makes the rounds, so it's probably the same kit. I think this kit is a classic that has been around for decades. It's widely regarded as a great source of kitbash parts (though mine is built almost straight from the directions).

The black and white really enhances the realism and weathering, especially on the engine house. Now I see why those old B&W layout shots in Model Railroader had such allure.

WOW! Awesome! Well done and I love the B&W photo! Makes it look old and almost real!

It's similar, but not the Revell enginehouse, that was more ornate with circular arched doors and arched tops to the sidewall panels. The enginehouse in the photo was in the Walthers Cornerstone line, but I don't know if that was its first appearance ever.
