Posting this ought to get the rivet counters all "steamed" up! A Conrail steam engine, found at the Timonium train show last weekend, this is my 2nd one. Would be fun to DCC this and run it at shows, I'm sure it'd give people fits. LOL!

No kidding.A late 1800's, early 1900's steam engine in Conrail livery is so wrong yet it looks so right at the same time.

Got my first Proto 2000 locomotive at Brockton's annual train show today!
It took a bit of time to put it together, but so far it looks and runs great!
It's even DCC-ready, so I can easily put a decoder in it!

Nice, I sent a couple of those engines off to EM-1, he said he was going to fix them for me, I also have 3 of those tenders minus chassis's, he said he may have those too...but that was before he dropped off the Forum. Frank , would love some pictures of that tender chassis, underside, etc if you ever get a chance. I have 3 shells, but not rolling chassis for any of them.

As company to Frank's AHM 0-8-0, here's another: I got it fairly cheap for a Rivarossi because it was a little broken in places. I repaired what was broken, converted to Kadee couplers front and back, added a deck plate between the cab and tender, and did a bit of weathering.
Also, I added electrical pickup to a couple of the drive wheels on the left side, and may have added some weight.
It's a pretty good puller and is hard to derail.

My LOTW offering is probably a repeat, but since I have been so busy, I have not had time to take any new pictures....
Brass Kosmos Timber Company's #11 standard gauge 2-6-6-2. It is # 37 of only 208 units made!
This picture was taken by a friend of mine shortly after he restored it.

Thanks John & Phil!
To think it might have just been thrown away is a great possibility! When it came to me, it was in a heap of parts...

That conversion from side tanks to a water tank towed behind while the fuel bunker is still on the engine makes for a lot of character. That visible sense of history is an interesting facet of this model.

LOL! Not a problem. I didn't even realize it was missing in the photo. The pictures were taken originally by my friend Brian who restored the locomotive and apparently all the pictures I had did not show the pilot truck as being present. I think, if I remember correctly, it was one of the parts that was missing. He replaced it with a Precision Scale truck.

Mustang, have you run that engine yet? It looks like the valve linkage on the left front crosshead is a little jammed up. It should hang like the one on the left side.
I'm thinking that you've probably already seen that, but if not, I'd hate to think of some delicate part getting bent because I didn't say something.

Good eyes Don! I had not noticed that before. Yes it does run, but it might improve a little with this adjustment...
Here is a video of it running taken by my friend:
