Can anyone tell me which road used this loco?
I'm fairly certain it was made by Samhongsa.
The prototype eludes me, though.
The tender just resists identifying. The one I found at Brass Trains has a Vandy tender.
I guess it's always possible the tender was just swapped.
Thanks

Evan

Nice. Looks like a G-5 used by the PRR and Long Island Railroads. Don't know if anyone else used them.

The G-5 in the Bowser link has a Belpaire fire box. The mystery model does not. Looks like the case is not yet closed.

Could it be this locomotive: Norfolk & Western, no. 1151? The N&W had a few 4-6-0's.

Oooops! that was a 4-8-0

Unspoken expectations are premeditated failures.

Kind of looks like a FRISCO or UP 4-6-0

Just poking through HO Seeker the other day.
Came across this.

Looking at the tender, plus all the other details, I'm fairly certain this is it.
Of course, no date or prototype shown! Arrgh!
But, one more piece of the puzzle.
The thrill of the hunt!!

Very nice.

This ten wheeler looks a lot like a Chicago and North Western R1 class 4-6-0. Check out pictures or CNW 1385 at the Mid Continent Railroad Museum for comparison.
