For this week, my SOTW is a Bachmann Donald and a Bachmann Douglas. The reason why I'm calling this my SOTW is because they're almost always together in the show they're from so I guess it counts.

Here is my entry this week....

Still sealed. I picked it up on a site called Bonanza (www.bonanza.com). Its like ebay, but no fees. Its interesting - I have 4 of the Mantua Long Island F7A's and 2 of the B's, but I never knew Mantua produced passenger cars for them.

Good find there, Knights. Especially since it's still sealed in the box.I've actually got one of Mantua's bonus paks similar to the one you have there, but at the same time it's different. Take a look.

I got this piece at a hobby shop for around $50 still sealed. After some lubrication and greasing it runs pretty good.

Nice set Kovacste000! Never seen it before. Yet another item to find! Funny I know that Mantua, in its final days, was offering dealers put together sets cheap - Ive seen some other Bonus packs, but nothing with the Dixie Belle.

I actually found it in the 1985 Mantua catalog. This set is not shown before or after that year so that's cool. Here's some proof of that from Tony Cook's site.

Same with me, man. That's actually one of the first things I do with model trains once I get them.

Aaaaargh! I you trying to torture me??? By the way,
awesome sets one and all. That Long Island deal is
an eye popping. Again, never dreamed such a thing
existed. Here is a "hand made" set of Tyco from last
Monday when work laid me off for a day:
