I actually BOUGHT something at the LHS on Friday. Presidents Choice 4-8-2 Mountain Express set. It has seen little or no use, and I think $100 is a fair market price. Not sure about the drovers caboose on a coal train, though.

Is that a Bachmann made train set or a Mehano/IHC made train set?

As far as I know, all the PC sets were made by Mehano.

The locomotive, by itself, is worth $150!

My "Set Of The Week" involves my latest purchase, albeit on a payment plan at my LHS...
My Baldwin Demonstrator Centipedes, accompanied by my equally striking sharks!
Now, that said, the Centipedes are both numbered 6000 officially. Baldwin counts them as the second 6000's... But, the Sharks are also numbered 6000A+B as well as 6001A+B... Anyway, enjoy!

Yes, all the PC sets were made by Mehano. The engines from those sets are some of the best runners you will ever encounter. I have set #10 "The Mini Chefs Express" and the Yard Bull engine (0-8-0) from another set.

I actually have the engine from the PC set "President's Choice" from 1993. The engine does seem like it needs to be oiled though but other than that it's really smooth. Here's the set.
 And here's my locomotive.
I also found out IHC sold it individually that year so yeah.

Hey I'm not sure about a drover's caboose with "President's Choice" on it!
But regrdless that is a great set and a very minor detail that can easily be remedied. Impressive locomotive, I've been wanting a 4-8-2 but the prices always stop me. Heck of a deal there.

Boy John!
That shark on the far right is on such a steep grade, it looks like a real shark charging up from the deep and breaking at the water surface for the surprise attack and kill!

Nice PC set. $100 is what they cost new and the engines alone are well worth that...that price is also A LOT better than the freaks who show up at trains shows with $200 price tags on them.
Buss: Fruity O's are store (President's Choice) brand fruit loops.
Here's the PC Pacific Express:

I just oiled my IHC Mogul and my gosh, it has got to be one of the smoothest running DC engine I have ever run in my life. Oh, and great SOTWs so far guys.

The Shark picture is close to the one I used on on the MRH forum.

My locomotives, the one on the far right seemingly jumping out, it was actually on a different level of track. The contrasting angle is a true one... just up and to the right of the picture. I wanted to show the whole "set" of Baldwin demo's I had. BTW, that shark to the right is the ROCO version while the A+B in the middle are Bachmann's DCC versions. I do have two other sharknoses in both CN schemes.
