Posting some Tyco slot items this week, I found these road signs on Ebay a couple weeks ago, and having just bought some more Tyco US-1 stuff on Ebay as well, I decided I could use these for either a train layout or the slot car track. Still hope to do a layout/slot track combo like other guys here eventually.

Nice one, Microbusss. My AOTW for this week to keep the apparent theme of truck related stuff is a Las Vegas souvenir truck that was given to me some years back. Overall it's kinda neat, especially for an H0 scale layout.

Anyway, have you guys ever wondered what the heck is lighting up my desk area in these photos so much? Well, I'm finally going to reveal what the heck it is. It's a Miller High Life clock thing from 1967 according to the internet which would make sense because that's around the same time my grandparents got this thing I'm about to show you. (They got it in the early 1970's) How we got it is, well, my grandpa went to pretty much every bar and liquor store in my area that they had at the time and the clock I'm about to show you was at one of his favorite liquor stores that was closing down in the early 1970's. My grandma was there with him and apparently she wanted it in their house so yeah. My dad acquired this thing a while back (Don't know when) and because my mom didn't want it in the house, it sat in the corner of the garage for close to a decade until that faithful day in April of 2010 when I wanted to hang it up in my room. The original hand for the thing was gone so we got some hands at an antique store in my hometown to replace them. Ever since then it has been hanging in that same place it is now. Enough about the background, let's get to the photo.
 Doesn't it look awesome?!

Looks pretty good. You just gotta love these types of clocks whether your older or younger than 21.

Not bad, Microbusss. My favorite clock in there would be the Dr. Pepper clock because that is just so stylish. The other ones are still good though.

An O scale sign from Microbus! On one arrow it says "Deadwood" and on the other "Dodge City." Will go great on club's O scale layout.

So much for the clocks. Moving along to the AOTW is a small John Deere tractor, more like a 1010 from the 60s.

Here it is: the TYCO Operating Signal Man!

Turns out, I learned it functions differently from Life-Like's version. The Life-Like version has the signal man mechanically operated by the pressure of the train. TYCO's version has the signal man mechanism operated by electricity, very much like the Lionel Gateman. The light in the building also comes on only when the signal man mechanism is activated. I haven't wired it up to my layout yet, but I tested it, and it makes this rather annoying buzzing sound when activated. That can be rather distracting and kind of mess up the illusion of operating a railroad...
