My COTW is a head-end power car I made from an old BAR reefer. Along with the paint and custom decals I added express trucks and Kadees.

I bought this Manuta car at a train show this weekend for $5. It will go with my Casey Jones steamer. Am I correct that this is a prisoner car?

I would guess that it's a ventilated box car.

Hi thetramp,

I have this one still sealed in the package and it says it is an 1860 Horse car.

Thanks for sharing.

Yes, that black ventilated boxcar is for horses, it goes with the Mantua old time set, there were 3 other cars in it I think.

My COTW is my patriotic AMC-loaded Auto Loader by Tyco. Ran it at the Open House this weekend, this car needed some work, already done and fixed, the other 3 did fine.

My COTW is this Heinz pickle car. It has a metal underframe but the rest is wood and cardstock. I'm not sure if this was a craftsman kit or if it was scratchbuilt. Anyone recognize it?

I once knew the meanest, angriest model railroader anywhere. One day he happened to have one of these things out, and I asked about it - I could tell the amount he ranted and raved and yelled and cursed at me that he'd like to put me IN a Jailbox!

Also, Redwoods - you actually have me stumped! I haven't the first idea who would have made that off the top of my head. However, I do know that you can still buy cardboard car sides for this car

Nice cars. This one is possibly Jeff's favorite and shows a model of him riding on it
while his wife frantically tells him to get off.
