Jouef 8525 SNCF DU65 MOW switcher. This should have been listed under high-speed trains. I think it's even faster than a Hustler.

Not found in history books, because it doesn't exist. A B&M RS-12, formerly D&RGW (Dangerous & Rapidly Growing Worse), then NdeM, now B&M. Box car by Leo G.

Since this week's LOTW seems to be European themed, I'm going to re-post my Hornby Flying Scotsman because it's the only European loco I actually have unless the Thomas stuff counts.Ah, whatever, I'll post my Scotsman again.

Chops, when I saw this with the B&M boxcars under COTW I was thinking "that loco should definitely be LOTW!" - and here it is I like the look of it - like it has seen some service. Nice addition to the roster

Very cool locomotive (if it qualifies as one). Is it powered by that propeller?

My LOTW is a Mantua Shifter. I've had it for a while and upgraded the detail with a cross-compound air pump, separate injectors, a better whistle, safety valves, a sand dome lid with a handle, working headlight, uncoupling levers, a nicer paint job, and real coal in the tender. Electrical pickup is improved with bronze pickup wipers on the flanges of the left-side drivers and by splitting the tender frame into separately insulated halves so that the trucks pick up on opposite rails.
More recently, I picked up another shifter that was in bad shape but had full valve gear. This being my nicest shifter, I put the valve gear on it.

Aren't you the one with that wild west style layout on Youtube with a couple of those modified Shifters running? If so, I love your layout. Plus, what you did to those Shifters are awesome.

First, thanks for the kind words.
I have some YouTube videos posted. The engines in those are probably Big Sixes, which look almost the same unless you're looking from the side where you can count drivers.
The 0-6-0's have better pickup so the wheels stay clean longer. I use those more than the 0-4-0's, but I still really like this little beast and run it when the track is good and clean.

You're welcome.Oh, and if I remember correctly, I do believe they were Big Sixes. I don't don't know, maybe those 0-4-0s were in the background.Ah, never mind.

The videos Stephen mentioned are posted to this thread: http://www.tycoforums.com/tyco/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=13759 They don't have this specific engine on them. The engine on the way freight video does not have the intricate Walschaerts valve gear, but the engines on the manifest freight video do. Sometime, I should get around to posting more videos to that thread.

That's definitely the video I was thinking of. As for that engine, as an old saying goes, close but no cigar.

The added detail, the paint job and the firewood stacked alongside the boiler all improve this engine's looks immensely compared to having it basic black and built as per the directions. Nice job.

I think this was a custom, not something Roundhouse offered, they did this engine in more than a few schemes with different roadnames. This one looks like a service loco, delivering supplies, there's no road name per se on it, just that it handles nuts, bolts, spikes, etc. I bought it like this at a show last year in Shenendoah, VA area. I believe it to be custom, as the guy had quite a few customized loco's there, and I bought 3 or 4 of them.

My LOTW is another Con-Cor B&O E7 to go along with the one I posted recently. It may be a slippery slope but I like these Con-Cor E7s.

Terrific video of Waldo and Way Freight. Equally impressive was the focus of the era. It is very hard to maintain such a tight focus on a particular time period- one is so tempted to stray. The bridges and retaining walls added much drama to the scenery. Mind boggling detail: stacks of locomotive tire rims. Best of show: the shifter's little lateral dance as it muscled its way about.

This one is a shell. I found this Geep in Phase one Amtrak colors for a buck that had never been assembled. I assume it was offered by Mantua although I have never seen one. I setout a Walthers geep in phase three paint for comparison.
