I recently found this Mantua box car, it's one I've not seen before. I like the Indian logo.

Taken on El Paso Model Train Club layout earlier this week. Wharf by F. Sunderman, a member. Car can be seen on video under Loose Ends: Jellomania.
Indian Head and Desert Belt boxes way cool. Nice looking layouts- do you all, or as is said in Texas, "y'all," have more photography of y'all's layouts?

Good stuff as always, guys.Anyway, to fit in with the obvious box car theme of this week's COTW, I'm going to post my H0 scale Northern Pacific box car I got in my first model train set about ten years ago.

You didn't do too bad overall so don't feel too bad. I think I might've seen the Tyco bubble yum semi trucks at train shows a couple of times for a decent price.

From Bachmann, probably a special run , not sure if it was part a promo set for Spartan Stores , Grand Rapids MI or just by itself for Spartan emplyees or what. Yep, Spartan Stores is a real company that is alive and doing well.

I won't beg for comments here guys, but here's a few of my Bubble Yum pieces... Box car really not too hard to find, just watch ebay.
What MicroBen FAILED to mention is when I was buying the B-Y trucks with trailers, they were selling on eBay between $30-$42 each...

So THAT'S what that place was!!! New Oxford, PA is a small town about 1 1/2 hours south of Harrisburg. In it is a building with two smoothside passenger cars jutting out from the wall. I was driving by it a while back and stopped to look inside and it looked like an old train shop or club - I guess that's what the place was!

The site with the 2 B&O Coaches was Paul's Model Train Shop. It closed sometime in the 90s. The coaches were scrapped 2011.
The Conewago Valley MRRC is alive and well. The CVMRRC Club Car was produced by Mantua in 1966 and came in kit form.

Great cars this week
My COTW is an Athearn Chessie/B&O caboose. I painted it a little more, so as to look close to a caboose that sits at Cass WV.

Yeah, MTH has been in the HO train business for a while. Their models are very detailed, not unlike the ones in their better known O scale product line.

My COTW:
A wood craftsman built Ambroid 1 of 5000 Vinegar tank car...
Introduced in September, 1958, this is a model of a M. Richter Sons Co. Vinegar Tank Car from 1929
I do not have the actual model yet, so I found some images on line to give you guys a better image of them:
This is the car hidden in the lot I just purchased:

Ben, What's funny is that that car is one I knew would draw attention and I am not surprised it was you that asked! LOL
I don't know yet, but when it comes, I will post pictures. Most likely next week as my COTW.
Then again... I might forget by then! LOL

That is a VERY fine lot you got there. Silver Streak offset-cupola caboose and Hart Convertible Ballast car (MKT), Ulrich drop-bottom gondola minus trucks, Mainline Models (I think) Phenix Cheese reefer (that's one billboard car I would not mind having at all! ), Athearn rotary, and all the way in the back I see two OB 40' reefers, either all-metal Roundhouse or Ambroid. Plus whoever made that Skybox - I have NEVER seen one in HO! You are one helluva lucky guy to get all that!
